Terms of sale
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy Dinner Plan. Please read them before you pay. If anything here is unclear, email hello@escapeplan.software.
1. Who we are, and who sells your order
Dinner Plan is made and provided by Escape Plan Software Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17262078. Registered office: Suite 10906, 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG, United Kingdom. Email: hello@escapeplan.software. We reply within two working days.
Orders are sold through Link. Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company, is the merchant of record for every purchase: it takes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, sends your receipts, and handles payment questions, cancellations and refund requests sent to it. Link's Sold through Link Terms also apply to your order. These terms cover Dinner Plan itself and what we promise you; we're responsible for the plan you get.
2. What you're buying
Dinner Plan is digital content: a plan of 5 to 7 dinners built from your answers, with recipes scaled to your household, a grocery list sorted by aisle and an estimated total. You get it online, at a private link, straight after payment. Nothing is posted to you. There are two kinds of purchase; the one offered to you, and its price, is shown before you pay:
- This week's plan: a one-time payment for one week's plan.
- A new plan every week: a subscription billed monthly. A new plan, built from the same answers, appears at your link each Monday.
3. Where we sell
Dinner Plan is offered only to customers in the United States and the United Kingdom. If a payment comes from outside these countries we won't deliver the plan and we'll refund the payment in full.
4. Price and payment
The price, in US dollars or pounds sterling, is shown before you pay. It includes any sales tax or VAT, so the price at checkout is the total you pay. Link takes the payment on Stripe's secure checkout, and it appears on your statement as LINK.COM followed by our name. We never see your full card details. You must be 18 or over to buy.
5. Subscriptions
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically every month, on the same day of the month you first paid, at the price you agreed, until you cancel. There's no minimum term and no other fees. Link emails you a receipt for each payment.
- Cancelling: cancel any time in your Link account at link.com (sign in or sign up with the email address you paid with), with the "Manage or cancel subscription" button on your plan page, or by emailing us; we'll cancel it for you. Cancelling stops future payments. You keep your plans until the end of the month you've already paid for.
- Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. If you don't want to continue at the new price, cancel before it applies.
- If we stop the service: we'll tell you by email and refund any part of a month you've paid for but won't get.
6. Your right to cancel, immediate delivery and Link's cooling-off period (UK customers)
Your legal right. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. Because your plan is delivered straight away, we ask before you pay that you agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that this legal right to cancel ends once the plan is delivered (regulation 37). For a subscription, this applies to each weekly plan as it's delivered.
Link's cooling-off period and our promise still apply. Link's Sold through Link Terms give UK consumers a 14-day cooling-off period from the day you get access to your plan, and our own money-back promise (section 7) covers every payment for 14 days. To use either, contact Link support and give "cooling off period" as the reason, or email us at hello@escapeplan.software, without giving a reason. You can use the form below, but you don't have to. You get a full refund to the payment method you used within 14 days of telling us. For a subscription, cancelling also stops future payments.
Model cancellation form: To Escape Plan Software Ltd, hello@escapeplan.software. I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following digital content: Dinner Plan (one-time plan or subscription). Ordered on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Email address used to pay: [email]. Date: [date].
This doesn't affect our own money-back promise below, or your rights if something is wrong with the plan.
7. Our 14-day money-back promise
On top of your legal rights: if the plan doesn't work for you, email hello@escapeplan.software within 14 days of any payment, including a monthly renewal, and we'll refund that payment in full, without questions. We issue the refund through Link; it goes back to the payment method you used, usually within 3 to 7 working days depending on your bank. Link can also refund orders under its own refund policy. Details: refund policy.
8. Your legal rights
If you're in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn't, you can ask us to repair or replace it, or for a price reduction or refund. If you're in the US, you have the rights your state's consumer law gives you. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.
9. Prices are estimates; this isn't diet or medical advice
- Estimated prices: the totals and item prices in your plan are estimates. Item prices come from public price data where available (US: Bureau of Labor Statistics and USDA; UK: Office for National Statistics), adjusted to recent months. Where that data has no match, we use our own estimate. Real prices depend on your store, location and week, and cupboard basics aren't included.
- Not advice: Dinner Plan is a meal and shopping plan. It isn't nutrition, medical or dietary advice.
- Allergies and diets: diet options (vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free) are based on the ingredients in each recipe. Products vary, and some (stock cubes, soy sauce, sausages, sauces) come in versions with and without gluten or other allergens. If you have an allergy or coeliac disease, check every label. "Kid-friendly" means mild and familiar, not suitable for every child.
- Cooking: follow normal food safety: cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs until cooked through, and reheat leftovers until piping hot.
10. Using your plan
Your plan and its recipes are for your own household's use. Please don't resell them or publish them. You're welcome to print your plan and share your grocery list with the people you shop for.
11. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses. Except where the law doesn't allow it, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you've paid for Dinner Plan in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
12. Changes
We may improve recipes, price data and the way plans are built. We may change these terms; the version shown when you pay applies to that purchase, and for subscriptions we'll email you about any change that affects you before it applies.
13. Law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can bring a claim there; if you live in the US, you keep the protections of your state's law. If you're unhappy, email hello@escapeplan.software first and we'll try to put it right. Questions about a payment or receipt can also go to Link support.
